COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria Application Form Preparation Books

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka) is an entrance examination for around 20 thousand seats of medical, engineering and dental programmes offered by more than 14 medical colleges, 25 dental colleges and 150 engineering colleges of Karnataka under the umbrella of Association of Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges (AMDEC) run by the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation (KPCF) Trust. The Association conducts two examination round the year, in which one is UGET (Under Graduate Entrance test) and other is PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test). The COMEDK UGET 2016 will be the gateway to MBBS, BDS, B.Tech and B.Arch Courses. Students belong to any state can avail the COMDEK examination as per their eligibility criteria.
  • Notification date of the COMEDK UGET 2016 examination – last week of October 2015
  • The start date of the request for application form  – first week of  March 2016
  • Last Date of the request for application form  – first week of April 2016
  • Last Date of filling the application form  – first week of April 2016
  • Last Date of reach the physical application form – second week of April 2016
  • Uploading of Admit Card – third week of April 2016
  • Date of examination – first week of May 2016
  • Publishing of provisional Answer Key – second week of May 2016
  • Publishing the final Answer Key – last week of May 2016
  • Date of Result – last week of May 2016
  • Date of Counselling – second week June 2016 onwards

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria

All candidates are suggested to adhere the following eligibility criteria for all courses as Medical, Dental, Engineering and Architecture. The last decision will be taken by AICTE, MCI, DCI and COA:

For Medical and Dental

  1. The candidates must have passed the 12th or PUC or any equivalent examination from any recognized board (without open university/board) of the country with minimum 50% marks (40% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% marks (40% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in English as a subject in 12th class.
  2. The candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination not before the year 2014.
  3. The candidates appearing the qualifying exam and expecting the percentage as required, are eligible to apply.
  4. The candidates those selected for the MBBS seat earlier and failed to join the college or failed to surrender the seat at COMEDK level or failed to pursue the course, are not need to apply.
  5. The candidates must be completed the age of 17 year as on 31st December of the year of examination.
  6. Candidates caught attempting the cheating or impersonate earlier cannot apply.

For Engineering

  1. The candidates must have passed the 12th or PUC or any equivalent examination from any recognized board (without open university/board) of the country with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks (40% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in English as a subject in 12th class.
  2. The candidates must have passed in individual subject.
  3. The Physics, Mathematics and English are compulsory while Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any other technical vocational course is an optional subject.
  4. Diploma candidates are not eligible to appear the exam as it does not have any lateral entry scheme.

For Architecture

  1. The candidates must have passed the 12th or PUC or any equivalent examination from any recognized board (without open university/board) of the country or having 10+3 diploma with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in the aggregate.
  2. The candidates must have appeared and scored a minimum of 80 marks out of 200 marks in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the COA for general and category students both.
  3. The candidates seeking the B.Arch course shall submit the separate application.
  4. There is no entrance test for students seeking the admission to B.Arch programme.

COMEDK UGET Application Form

For applying the COMEDK Application form 2016 the aspirants would have to register for the RFA (Request For Application) via online only. The candidates would have to fill the details required in the RFA as name, date of birth, marks card, passing class, ID proof, e-mail ID and valid mobile number for further communication.
After submitting the RFA, the applicant will be said to have been registered and will be sent a Unique login ID and password via email and SMS on the given mobile number.
By using the Login ID and password the applicant will get access to to the OAF (Online Application Form) and authorized to fill the particular.
After completing the application process the candidates must note down the six digit application number and a copy of filled application form and send the filled application form to the address given below:

Application Fee

The application fee can be remit through the debit/credit card or net banking or through the DD collected by any national bank of India. The fee criteria for the engineering, medical/dental and architecture courses are as the following:
  • For Medical or Engineering aspirants – 1200/- Rs.
  • For Medical and Engineering aspirants – 1500/- Rs.
  • For Architecture aspirants – 1000/- Rs.
